Many people actively avoid the dentist, not out of laziness but out of fear. At Lion Dental Centre, we completely understand and want to make your experience as amazing as possible. We want all of our patients to feel at ease and comfortable when visiting our practice. Some patients may want to Meet The Team beforehand.
Prolonged aversion from the dentist can lead to a number of health problems such as gum disease and possibly tooth loss. A simple check-up can save you so much hassle in the future. We appreciate that some patients suffer with dental phobia and attending or even making a dental appointment is a big step. Here at Lion Dental Centre in Stourbridge your comfort and convenience is our priority.
If you’re nervous about visiting our practice due to concerns over accessibility, we’d like to assure all patients that your satisfaction is at the heart of what we do. Our purpose built, ground floor practice has been thoughtfully designed with our patients’ comfort and accessibility in mind. Our site has wheelchair access, free on-site parking and an onsite Pharmacy.

On attending your appointment you will be asked to complete some forms including a medical history form.
One of our experienced dentists will complete your Dental Examination.
X-rays will be taken if they are needed and a treatment plan will be put together and discussed with you based on your treatment need.
We really recommend having an open and honest conversation with either your dentist or another member of our team. If we know that you have concerns about your appointment, we can then talk to you about making it as easy and comfortable as possible.
Under certain circumstances, if the dentist feels this is appropriate then the option of sedation can be discussed for your treatment. We don’t offer sedation here so patients would have to be referred. We always try and carry out treatments without sedation.
If this is your first time seeing us, your dentist will examine your teeth and gums. If you have visited the dentist for a specific problem, this will be discussed and examined. Following this, appropriate treatment will be discussed with you. Your dentist will explain what is going on throughout the appointment and we encourage you to ask any questions you may have.
At Lion Dental Care, if you feel that bringing a loved one in with you for your appointment then that is absolutely fine. We want to make sure our patients are at ease.
